Watching these Senate Foreign Relations Committee Hearings is very strange. As Bloomberg has just reported, John Bolton professed his enthusiastic support for the U.N. and seemingly has miraculously become a convert to bipartisanship.
“Such leadership (by the U.S. in the U.N.) in turn must rest on broad bipartisan support in Congress that must be earned by putting to rest skepticism that too many feel about the UN system,” Bolton, a State Department arms control official who has been an outspoken UN critic, said in his prepared remarks.
Then, who is the guy emphatically stating that there “is no such thing as a United Nations” on this video?
