My guess is that the odds of anyone dying in Japan as a result of an earthquake probably still are higher than dying from a nuclear event.
The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists currently is assessing the North Korean test and world reaction to see if they should move the Doomsday Clock closer to midnight. It’s been at 7 minutes to midnight for a while. If anyone isn’t familiar with the Doomsday Clock, you can find it http://www.thebulletin.org/doomsday_clock.

Steve…I know that sensation! I was in a Howard Johnsons Hotel outside of Council Bluffs…2 rolls of quarters; a bottle of Jack and a hot date from the local casino…dinner with George Soros?? nudge, nudge, wink, wink…Is President Clinton in on this party?
And you told us to be good… Is any of this on YOU TUBE??

Here is a fantastic up to the minute website to monitor global seismic activity.

Welcome to Japan! Look carefully and you’ll find that the threat of these quakes has shaped the Japanese to a suprising degree.
There is a fair chance that there will be significant disturbances by the NK supporters in Japan.
These unilateral trade restrictions are really a stake through Kim’s heart.
China provides the fuel oil and food but Japan provides the hard cash and high tech goodies the NKs need.

Ha! The power of blogs. You’ve beaten CNN, MSNBC, AND DailyKos with this news.
Of course, maybe it’s NK-related. Bunker busters and all that. Smell any gunpowder?
