Comments on The Washington Note

Folks, I am traveling today and without my principal computer. I have learned that no one has been able to post comments over the last 21 hours.
We had a spam attack going on that was attaching “cialis” items to any Facebook uploads from my site — so our web guru adjusted some things on the site, and this has created some unintended results — including apparently blocking comments.
We are working on it — and I hope it’s fixed soon.

    Find anything good?

    Thanks for your reply, Steve,
never mind my post: In my prescience, I actually copied it on my
hard disk two days ago, and pasted it again into the Walt/Kagan
    thread yesterday 🙂
Worse with Dan`s comment, and probably lots of comments in
    the Wilkerson/Cheney thread.
Well, as Rumsfeld infamously said: Stuff happens – and you are
    not to blame in this.

Paul — regrettably, i don’t think your post is in the system. I just looked behind the wall at all pending, and unapproved comments – and it’s just not there. very sorry about the hassle and the comments meltdown…but i think we are back in gear now. All best — and again, sorry for the hassle,

it looks like the blocked comments actually are lost? Or you
haven`t succeeded in bringing them up yet?
Yeah, POA, the Google problems were reported here in Norway as

Something very odd happened yesterday with the internet, on a very large scale. Google experienced what they called “glitches”, and there seemed to be really wierd stuff going on with a number of blogs. Nina’s blog was affected, as were a number of the blogs she cross posts at. I experienced inexplicable glitches while doing internet searches, and now I read that Steve’s blog was having trouble.
    Very strange.

Dan, I think the “Webmaster” is struggling with getting all those
blocked comments published. I had one on the Walt/Kagan
thread, and I would guess that there are up to a hundred blocked
comments waiting on the Wilkerson/Cheney thread. I hope they`ll
appear soon – but it`s a pity that that this happened, because it
also disturbs the dynamics and interactions of the discussion.
