Robert Kimmitt Would Also Be Far Better Choice for United Nations than John Bolton

Our campaign for better nominees than John Bolton continues. . .

Today TWN suggests that President Bush consider Robert Kimmitt, former U.S. Ambassador to Germany, and former General Counsel at the National Security Council. Kimmitt was on the short list for both the Deputy Secretary of State job that Bob Zoellick got, and John Bolton did not.
He was also on the very short list for the USTR job, for which Congressman Rob Portman (R-OH) — a very wise choice by President Bush — was recently confirmed.
Other nominees are listed here, here, here, and here.
