George Voinovich, like Barry Goldwater once articulated so well, believes that conservatives must maintain a solid connection to their conscience.
He is voting against Bolton’s nomination.
We are now at 50/50.
Everything this weekend was psychological warfare by the White House — trying to convince the opponents to Bolton that they had already lost.
This is not over — not even if it squeaks out of Committee today.
Moderate Republicans and Democrats can find common cause in getting someone to the U.N. who will engage in credible reform that can be sold to American citizens as well as America’s allies abroad.
