I would have liked to have seen Feingold given a committee chairmanship.

Interesting that the number of Chairmen past 80 (3 — Byrd and the two Hawaiians) is greater than the number younger than 60 (2 — Conrad and Schumer). Only one of the latter (Conrad) has a committee with significant jurisdiction, whereas Appropriations and Commerce are two of the most important committees in the Senate.

Lieberman for Homeland. That’s a fox in the henhouse.
And Kerry for small business? That’s a waste of brainpower.

    Ok, I’ll confess.
I thought Robert Byrd would have been slotted for AGING. 😉
But to be honest, it was pretty much a wide-open field with many many candidates.
