Brian Lehrer Show: WikiLeaks and the War Logs

-

I was pleased with how this discussion came out on WNYC’s The Brian Lehrer Show in which we discussed the secret military field reports recently made public by Wikileaks.
Also on the program was New York Times chief Pakistan correspondent, Jane Perlez.
Thumbnail image for skype.jpgA side note about the line I used.
I did the entire interview on Skype.
Yep, I did.
It’s sort of sad when it’s tough to get a Skype line that clear in DC or New York — but Beijing? No problem.

“NO NOTICE OF INVESTIGATION OF ANY OF THESE REPORTS”?
Who really has blood on their hands?
Bravo Julian Assange, U are fast becoming an american hero and have changed the face of what war really inflicts from now on. The campaining I did for Obama and the donations I made will now go to you and hopefully help this individuals defense in a ‘stacked deck’ by the american,(war mongers), government against him. The obama administration hates your guts but you would be suprised how much of america is behind you- “GO WIKILEAKS.COM” & may thousands follow your lead. Sorry I could not donate more at this time. Keep up the great work Julian Assange.
I think the Nobel Peace Prize that was mistakenly given to Obama should belong to Jullian Assange!

I guess I qualify as the thank you commenter at this point, but thanks for linking this interview. I learned some things I did not know and gained a bit better sense of perspective. I pay attention to the comments of people who have proven themselves to be knowledgeable, honest investigative journalists.
