    You people are entirely amiss.
It is “Bye, Obama” bumper stickers, “Bye, then” is his new VP choice.

Oh my god, Steve Clemons – You are the Man!! You were the FIRST to lay this out. You were clear, shared what happened as you saw it. You launched the battle against Bayh, and you inserted Biden.
I know that other factors were at play, but shit, you killed Bayh, here on The Washington Note, and you pushed Biden.
    And you won.
Hats off man! I’m so stunned.
    Congratulations.

Hmmm. I can’t think of anyone in this menagerie I’d invite over for fried chicken.
I’ve watched Biden quite a bit on C-Span. He’s mighty good at sneering in disgust when one of the Bush criminals lies to whatever committee is being lied to. But thats all we get, is disgusted sneers. He’s a real fuckin’ milquetoast when it comes to actually expressing an interest in pursuing accountability. Perhaps this guy can haruuumph his way through a term in the VP slot, but I wouldn’t expect much more out of him. He’d make a great scarecrow in my garden if we could freeze that disusted sneer.
Really, I lost all enthusiasm for this charade when I saw how Paul and Kucinich were slaughtered by the Main Stream Marketers, formerly known as The Fourth Estate. Even if you totally disagree with Paul’s or Kucinich’s political stands, you gotta be a damned fool not to be alarmed at the power the press has to castrate anyone that doesn’t hum to the machine’s buzz and growl.
I just don’t get it. How can anyone be enthused about this dog and pony show? These bastards are robbing us blind, and selling us down the river. They are collectively some of the slimiest pieces of crap to walk this planet, (just cruise by TPMuckraker, and start working your way backwards through the archives).
We’ve become a nation of subservient mewling idiots. And these bastards in Washington are milkin’ it for all its worth.
And if you aren’t embarrassed by this choreographed “to be continued, tune in tomorrow” extravagansa the marketeers are goosing us with, then you’re the exact idiot they’re targeting. Congratulations.

Biden: “Barack Obama represents all the Changeâ„¢ I’ve been desperately trying to enact during my last three decades in the Senate. He is a once-in-a-generation leader. I’m going to vote for him again and again.”

Biden is a horrible pick. Only Richardson would be worse.
Biden’s mouth makes him too dangerous—and don’t forget the things he has already said about Obama that will be embarrassing.

Cure for insomnia discovered in headline news updates of the Obama VP.
Biden uses air freight to accompany him. One for him. The other flight isn’t for the express hair plugs delivery. It’s to bring along his massive ego.
Can they forgo this charter and just use C235s if he’s VP?
Biden would help bankrupt the Denver convention. It’s already on a late funding table. Think they’ll get an MNBA exception to the rules?

Aside from nominating Jesus, Cthulhu, or the Flying Spaghetti
Monster as his running mate, it’s difficult to see how Obama’s
choice could match the hype. His campaign has played the media
and pundits like a fiddle, but it’s gone on too long.
Reminds me of a Mike Myers movie gag, where the first 20
seconds of the joke are funny, and the last minute and a half
    become downright annoying.

    POLITICO:
By keeping expectations hanging for so long, Obama makes it harder to deliver on all the anticipation. A weeks-long strip tease, ending with a naked Joe Biden or Evan Bayh—or some other safe but unsexy choice—might prove deflating.

Nobody in the country knows who Biden is. But they’re gonna find out.
This is not a triple. This is a single that he has hit.

I agree, Steve, certainly. But if the idea is to try to hide the fact that Biden is boring by first scaring everyone with a Bayh tease, I don’t see it working.
Unless there is some amazing surprise up Obama’s sleeve, they haven’t done a very good job with the expectations game here. They should have recognized that all of the contenders were unexciting, and diminished expectations.
People have signed up for the big national text message for this? Let the word go forth from this time and place: … Joe Biden??

Obama’s giving me a heart attack today. If the pick is Biden that adrenaline will turn to a rush of joy like getting off a fun-park ride. If it’s Bayh it’ll turn to something much less enjoyable.
PS: One other little-mentioned bonus if he picks Joe Biden: He can make “O’Biden” T-Shirts and hand them out to rallies in Irish-American areas!

MSNBC Jester Chris Matthews: “Biden his time? It could be any minute now that the text messages fly and Obama announces his running mate. But has this rolling disclosure been a good campaign strategy, or just too dandy of a strip tease?”

Obama has equated his text-message rolodex with the American people — he is forgoing the public financing he once championed because so many people have unexpectedly “declared their independence” from a “broken system” to fund his campaign. Sign up with a donation of $5 and you can be party of the American people, too.
How many TWN readers will receive Barack’s text? How many will pay for it?

OK, my wife has been getting progressively angrier at Obama all day for making her wait on this stupid pick. I just showed her this Ambinder thing and she said, “Biden? All that excitement for Biden?”
Following flight paths, now? This is beneath the level of six year olds watching the phony NORAD radar on Christmas Eve.
And I guarantee you, Joe Biden is not as exciting as a Sony PlayStation.
